Participate in the “Breeze AFA Preliminary Contract Negotiations Survey”
A message from AFA International President Sara Nelson
Congratulations! Next week the National Mediation Board (NMB) will send ballots to your home to vote for the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) as your union and gain the strong and legally recognized voice that comes with it.
The first order of business after the election concludes on May 7, will be to negotiate your first contract. There are two urgent actions to help put Breeze Flight Attendants on the strongest footing for these negotiations:
Vote for AFA and make sure all of your flying partners do the same. The stronger the vote, the stronger our position will be for negotiations. This is the first opportunity to show management the power of your solidarity and determination to make Flight Attendant jobs at Breeze the best they can be.
Negotiation priorities are determined by you! After the election, there will be another official negotiations survey, but this preliminary survey will help ensure no time is wasted to get us started on work for your contract. All Flight Attendants at Breeze, whether eligible to participate in NMB vote, are able to take this preliminary survey. AFA wants to hear every voice.
Mutual respect comes with equal standing. As Members of AFA, you will have legal recognition to go to the bargaining table as equals with Breeze management. By your side will be AFA Legal, professional negotiators, and experts from every field to assist you. You will have all of these resources from your Union, and you won’t pay a single dollar of dues until you vote to approve your contract with improvements that far outweigh the dues dollars necessary to enforce your contract and provide daily representation at Breeze. You will gain a Contract that reflects the priorities of Breeze Flight Attendants and cannot be changed at the whim of corporate.
Being a member of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA means you join a family of Flight Attendants from 19 different airlines and you are never alone. We’ve got each other’s backs!
Negotiations are all about you. Submit your priorities through the Breeze Flight Attendant Preliminary Contract Survey.
Please use the comment boxes throughout the survey if you have anything to add.
Let’s make the most of this vote for representation to show management that you are united in support of each other, and you expect the respect for the contributions you make to Breeze through a legally binding contract that also ensures a fair return for your hard work
AFA is your union. Take the survey and share it with all of your flying partners. We are stronger and better together.
In Solidarity,
Sara Nelson
