Our Union Advocates for the Success of Breeze!

Being pro-union is being pro-Breeze! Breeze AFA is Breeze Flight Attendants who care about our careers and our airline. Our careers are connected to the success of our airline, so of course we want our airline to succeed. We are pro-union because we want to be sure Flight Attendants are included in our airline’s success. We understand that corporate supervisors and management have their own job to do; we also know that it is not their top priority to do what is best for Flight Attendants. This is why we need our Breeze AFA Union to protect ourselves, one another and our long term careers. With our Flight Attendant Union we create the power and autonomy to stand up for our jobs and to ensure our value is recognized. This is what we do when we Vote YES for Breeze AFA.

NMB Sets Breeze AFA Election Dates

Yesterday, the National Mediation Board (NMB) set the dates for our Breeze AFA Union Election.  Ballots will be mailed from Washington, DC on March 12th. The vote tally will be on May 7th at the NMB office in Washington DC.

We will share more specific information about the voting process once the NMB shares that information closer to the ballot mailing date.

The Plane Truth - Dues Edition

There are $0 (zero) dues until all Breeze Flight Attendants vote to approve a first contract with improvements. AFA dues are $50 a month. It would take an act of the AFA Board of Directors (the directly elected local leaders from every AFA airline) who meet annually to change this. Dues have been the same for over a decade and there has been no discussion among AFA Leaders to even consider a dues increase at the next AFA Board of Directors meeting.

On the other hand, how quickly could management take away part-time flying from Flight Attendants without a contract to lock that option in?

How quickly did management take away productivity pay without a single word?  How much more can and will they take away?

The plain truth is we will all benefit from the protections of our Breeze AFA Union and a Contract.
