Our Motivations and Celebrations Voting YES for BreezeAFA!
There have been some wonderfully powerful responses from many of you about why we are voting YES for AFA!
Here are a few:
“Breeze (corporate) needs to understand that this is a career for us, not just a job. But if I had a career, I wouldn’t need a side hustle.”
"Only Flight Attendants have to follow their end of the 'playbook.' Management can make up their own rules. This is why we need a Union."
“If what we’ve had is a direct relationship, I voted AFA for an authentic partnership instead.”
"I support our Union, because we need a direct, equal relationship with management. What we have now is like a dictatorship where we can express our concerns, but they don't have to listen or act on those concerns. I want to know this is about my career and my quality of life, not about potential investors filling their pockets while I need a 'side hustle.'"
“I am very disappointed with Breeze (corporate) and their inability to actually address any of the issues that made us want to unionize in the first place. That is why I don’t pay attention to the ‘youbelong’ stuff at all.”
“I choose negotiations over simping.” (For those of us, who need a definition of “simping”)
"You only need one good reason to say YES, and mine is job security! I don't want to work for a company that wakes up on the wrong side of the bed one morning and suddenly, I'm out of a job."
“Breeze (management) is saying they will take care of us. We know it’s not true, we’ve got the receipts!” (the newsletter showing just a few of those receipts is here)
"Our AFA Flight Attendant Union will bring unwavering strength and a voice to the Breeze Airways Flight Attendants. Our Union brings security to our families and accountability to management. Breeze AFA is ME!!"
“I want protections in a contract, not just Breeze (corporate) telling me to trust them.”
"The point system is unfair. How many points we receive is up to the discretion of the supervisor...they have way too much power over who receives points (and how many points) and who doesn't."
"My relationship with Breeze feels toxic. I don't trust management, but I love my job and the people that I work with. I want to come to work and feel safe, not threatened."
"We need a union now more than ever, and the pushback from management should only show you how important it truly is. It gives us boundaries as Flight Attendants, to hold management accountable just like they do us. We are the foundation of Breeze Airways. We are the frontline to the guests. With no Flight Attendants there'd be no flights. They need us as much as we need them."
“If I ever have an issue at work, it is clear who will be on MY SIDE! I’ve seen proof over and over, that management isn’t consistent, whether it is in the ‘playbook’ or not.”
“Breeze (corporate) often says we are industry standard, but we are way behind industry standard.”
"I want to see current Breeze Flight Attendants making decisions for our Flight Attendant careers, not 'former flight attendants,' some who never even flew with Breeze, deciding what our careers look like."
“Breeze is full of potential, and I want my career to grow into its full potential too.”

Participate in the Breeze AFA Flight Attendant Preliminary Contract Survey
Being a member of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA means we are joining a family of Flight Attendants from 19 different airlines, and we are never alone. We’ve got each other’s backs!
Negotiations are all about us. Submit your priorities through the Breeze Flight Attendant Preliminary Contract Survey.
Please use the comment boxes throughout the survey if you have anything to add.
Let’s make the most of this vote for representation to show management that we are united in support of each other. Let management know that we deserve respect for the contributions we make to Breeze through a legally binding contract that also ensures a fair return for our hard work.
AFA is our union. Take the survey and share it with all our flying partners.
We are stronger and better together.
