That’s why we're Voting YES for our Flight Attendant Union.
We want management to work with us as an equal voice to shape the future of our careers. Right now, there is no working together. Managers and corporate executives have 100% of the power to make any decision they want without any obligation to do what is best for Flight Attendants or to listen to our feedback. Corporate has stressed so many times that they encourage us to keep the direct relationship with them, but we know the only direct relationship that can be productive is one where Flight Attendants have an equal say with the legally recognized power of our Flight Attendant Union.
Our union isn’t an outsider, and it’s not a manager that hasn’t recently operated a flight or held a line. WE ARE OUR UNION! Our Union is us, Breeze Flight Attendants, who operate Breeze flights everyday, who know our job best: we know how dirty our planes are, we know what happens when executives aren’t flying them, we know what it takes to pay rent in Tampa, Charleston, Providence, or any of our bases. Our union is US. So let’s join the movement truly committed to work together with management for the future success of Breeze Flight Attendants and our airline. When we Vote YES for Breeze AFA, it will be a great day when management meets with Breeze Flight Attendants at the negotiation table to work together for an agreeable legal contract to make this a Seriously Nice company better for all of us.
Did You Know?
Our AFA-CWA Constitution and Bylaws lists reciprocal agreements as one of our goals in negotiations at each of our members' airlines.
In 2006, the AFA Board of Directors unanimously adopted a resolution to launch a strategic campaign focused on achieving reciprocal cabin seat agreements throughout the industry. While there were a few agreements that existed prior to this action by the AFA BOD, it was the focus, resources and coordination of AFA leaders and members that pushed these agreements forward and succeeded in providing massive relief to commuting Flight Attendants throughout the industry. These benefits were achieved by Flight Attendants working together. In addition to building power at the negotiating table, this is one example of the tangible results we achieve by promoting AFA's first objective to unite all Flight Attendants. We have been extremely successful in our campaign to date, and we continue to advocate for more agreements.
